Well I thought I was crazy with the busy before ... but .. of course I was wrong...
So yes the June school holidays are upon us and that means hanging out lots with my two - which I do not mind generally - and thinking of things to keep two children occupied ... FOR FOUR WEEKS!!!! Ask me how I am in four weeks you might be getting a reply from a corpse. ( But first a Finnish song! a translation )Ahh well so now we get to the *REALLY* exciting part! Ok maybe not! The school holidays it started yesterday! *DIES* ( Cut to save the f-list from motherly whining and woes )*DED* See you in four weeks people! WEll I'll probably see you in less than that time because LJ keeps me healthy in fangirl squee and sparkles and of course even if I don't have the energy to comment I read your posts! I will reply to backdated comments, entries and posts eventually but first this... Darian (aged 6 and a half): Mama, you know you keep asking to tidy up... Mama (aka zan) : Yes ....? Darian : You know ... if we were tidy ALL the time zan : Yes that would make me so very happy! (is being hopeful) Darian : But Mama, you know you wouldn't have anything to do then ... zan : @_o Darian : So ... it's like a cycle of tidy and untidy and we're all happy! zan : " ...." *SIGH* Current Mood: and resigned!Current Music: girl talking to her daddy | | Monday, April 13th, 2009 | | 10:10 am |
AMAZONdotCom; FAIL!? Maybe -
From glass_icarus, here. Summarised quite well with edits by such_heights, here ... and an article from the LA Times Amazon de-ranks gay friendly books A list from commumnity Meta-Writer include Stephen Fry's Memoir, Brokeback Mountain, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Neil McKenna's 'Secret Life of Oscar Wilde' and a whole host of others which includes self help books for teens through to adults. Updated as the list grows longer! And Two .. Writers share their Amazon woes! They have been classified as 'ADULT' material, however you can still find hard core HET porn on DVD and books. It isn't that you cannot buy them. Ohnononno ... you can but what it does is [QUOTE] from someone who caould say it better than me: They have instituted an obviously discriminatory policy regarding what shows up on bestseller lists and the like. Non-explicit (and even non-fictional, historical books) have been deemed 'adult' and had their sales rankings removed, effectively removing them from the public eye.Thank you a_mael for the heads up and the links! EDIT: On the other hand ... this might help see another side to the suation! of meta trolls and things Current Mood: disappointedCurrent Music: just birds, traffic and just sounds. | | Tuesday, April 7th, 2009 | | 10:43 pm |
So ... obviously there's some kind of virus going round the world!
I did well. Really well. Boy was sick then girl then boy again (oh yes the drama of rushing into Children's Accident & Emergency, NUH with a temp. of 39.3 Celcius and peaked at 39.9 totally fun ...) Three weeks I survived it all. So the body decides to rebel just so I will go to sleep. Early. I alrerady had my blackcurrant lemsip and now I go sleep! Yes now! ^__^ Yes sleep police I see you ... I'm going! Love and hugs to the f-list. Lots of Vit.C, fluids - warm water is best, and rest. Current Mood: drainedCurrent Music: none | | Monday, March 30th, 2009 | | 2:08 am |

Oh MY ... You are all made of awesomeness and love!!! SO much LOVE!!! Thank you all for your well wishes!!! You don't know how much spirit boosting they were. But they were and made the few dark nights that much shorter. The boy is better now and will be back in school tomorrow. *sigh* and I actually feel somewhat human. The girl has been a star being helpful and independent whilst I looked after the boy. Hubby too did all the things like shopping and running around on errands. Thank you everyone. I'm blessed truly! Love and hugs Everyone! Current Mood: and thankfulCurrent Music: happy little boy babble!!! | | Saturday, March 21st, 2009 | | 9:07 pm |

RL has me busy but I am alive... and because I am a dork: Shakespeare in the news!!!
Remains of the Original Globe theatre found! well I thought it was cool news anyways! ^_^So children's mid terms this week, March break next week. My back (for some reason is partly killing me. Note to self: do not pick the boy up anymore. he is heavy) Will someone cook dinner for us for me! *sigh* Have to organise children holiday type things. I really don't want to zoo it or bird park it this time! One birthday party to go to - that will be interesting. Which means thinking up gift ideas. It should be easy as seeing as the birthday girl is my niece, but isn't because her mother is my sister. (I bet that makes no sense at all). Still, ballet exam for the little girl - ok she isn't little anymore - and band practice, she has been picked to play the trombone for the band. Boy has discovered he wants to play badminton. Which neither of his parents are good at but we will try. Also the house is an absolute tip. Also I have a really bad headache! *dies* I apologise on being behind with comments, either here or elsewhere. Much much much love to my wonderful friends and a zillion hugs.
